This ceramic is about the bush food tjaḻa (honey ants). When I was a young boy and my uncle brought me a tjaḻa for the first time I was thinking, Ai! Nyaaku? (Ah, what’s this for?) and then he showed me how to eat it and I said, Ai, Rikina! (Wow – delicious!).
